Global Seoul Mate's I Like Seoul mission!

I like many things about Seoul such as its parks, mountains, palaces, restaurants, transportation system Etc. Among all of previously mentioned places, I like Han River Parks (한강공원) the most!!

Picnic at one of many parks is best way to spend your weekend during spring, summers or autumn. Many seoulites fascinate Hagang Parks for physical activities such as cycling and running. You will often find people practicing for marathons or cycling events or just doing it as hobby!

Since I moved to Korea, I was searching for nice tracks and parks. Han river parks were simply best! They provide breathtaking views ,therefore I choose it be my favorite thing about Seoul!!

I LIKE Han River Parks in Seoul because I can run or ride bicycle there! Moreover, I can enjoy picnic with friends over there :)

Han River Parks = Nature + Picnic + Walk ,+ Peace + Serenity + Running + Cycling + AdayOut!

I borrowed some information from visitKorea website about best cycling tracks.

" The Nanji Bike Park - Banpo Hangang Park course remains one of the best bicycle courses around Hangang River. In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery of nature, bicycle riders can experience all of the special features along the course, including unique bicycle-riding in Nanji Park, the Friendly Trail in Mangwon Park, the view of the twilight and Bamseom Island from Mapo Bridge, the open field and fountain of Yeouido Park, and the cafés on Dongjak Bridge. "

Check all of them here : [Link]

You can rent bike for 1/2 hours at 3000 won per hour rate.

Please see all hangang parks map below

Daejeon visit: A day away from Seoul and Suwon

Its hard to go out when rain is pouring down cats and dogs! Though Sunday is mostly the free day to visit places outside Seoul (if planned 1 day trip), yet it is tricky as next day is working day!
It was my first experience to travel via KTx (Suwon to Daejeon Station).  It costs 10,000 - 11,000 KRW from Suwon to Daejon (KTx). and traveling time is 1 hour 10 minutes. It sounds funny that I missed Daejeon station and dropped out at next station :-)  Though I came back via next train for free but it was new experience for me! Adventurous!
The first impression of Daejeon was good on me, because I saw flag of Pakistan outside Daejeon station among Korean war supporters! The second impression of Daejeon was " It is quiet and serene place"  Yes, indeed!

The first sightseeing in Daejoen was "Daejeon Steam"  It follows through the city and provides a good place for picnic and cycling!

After eating the delicious lunch, I headed for Daejeon Art Museum. The museum was surrou…
