R-16 Free Style Session @ KTO Headquarters




B-Boy was started by African/Latin Americans in 1970's . Since then it become a norm everywhere in world. It came in Korea around 1980's when American soldiers were settled here. Now it is one of popular sport/activity here.

R-16 is an annual B-boy event organized by Korean Tourism Organization in which 16 countries around the world participate. To choose Korean team for Free Style session, KTO organized qualification session on May 5 in front of KTO HQ building. Many foreigners enjoyed this event. There were various teams competing with each other. It was 3 vs. 3 !  Dj's were playing some awesome  music!!!

Introduction:   I participated in a volunteer activity called “Neighbors from Afar/ 교실에서 만나는 먼나라 이웃나라" orchestrated by Seoul Metropolitan Government. The journey was pretty smooth because of good transportation system. It took one hour to reach Anguk Station. We were greeted by school staff as well as couple of pleasant shouts from kids!
