Puri - A mixture of traditional and Modern Korean Music

PURI : July 5, 2013 at National Theater of Korea , Seoul Korea   PURI!  Art Hall for special performances Using Drums, Gitars, Piano with Korean traditional Instruments  Concept of PURI is simple and straight-forward by using Korean traditional musical instruments with touch and glare of modern instruments. In conclusion  they have been successful to get attention of foreign audience. In my humble opinion, Korean youth prefers modern instruments over traditional instruments, therefore a performance like PURI can fascinate them. 1 Playing korean traditional instrument in a synchronized manner  I liked singing traditional songs with piano beat. It was unique yet mesmerizing.  We could feel Korean culture more closely and passionately. Epic ending with their powerful dance performance :) Cheered by crowd. Even i saw some people dancing. getting applaude from audience members  Special thanks to Korean Tourism Organization for this wonderful per

KTO Walking Tour App and it's usage

Korean Tourism Organization launched Seoul city walking tour app, which gives unique yet correct and meaningful information about HOT tourist spot in Seoul including Gwanghamun, Seoul city museum, Insa-dong etc. You can also see maps through app, and know your current location! I am highlighting main features of app below! Some of the places covered by Seoul walking app!  Language Support ( it is available in Japanese, Chinese, and English)  You can find many apps that are related to it. They are very useful while traveling in Korea.  App has built-in functionality, through which one can call 1330 directly from app. It comes handy at times.  Best part of the app is it's audio information. Plenty of information is provided using crisp and clear voice. The app imagines that you are about to enter tourist zone, and it tells you historical background and it's significance.  Another good part of app is screenshots/images of tourist spot. It can give

The 3rd Rainbow Island Music and Camping Festival was held from June 6 ~9, 2013 at Nami-island, Korea (남이섬).  The whole concept of festival was Live ROCK MUSIC at it's three stages namely Rainbow (main), Island and Forest stage. Along-side with music performances, there were several events/shows/games going on the island. A joker-magician was amusing audience with his tricks, African dancers rocking their moves, jelly-bag is giving tough challenge to music-lovers to jump from a decent height etc.  There were many games to play also, and they were organized by many start-ups or companies for promotional purposes!  R-16 KOREA 2013 한국대표선발전 Korea Qualifiers (Korean B-boy Masters championship) were held at Uijeongbu Art Center in Gyeonggi province. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes from Seoul to go there.  Main categories were   1- Popping 2- Locking  3- B-boy crew Battle  Popping Judges started show with their performance. First performance was awesome and cheered by crowd!  After that 1 vs. 1 elimination round was conducted. Surprisingly, there were few girls in competition too!  Next up was Locking session. It was more like a dance with hip-hop music. There were 4 girls competing in this session. They knocked out boys :)                                                                              Two girls competing in locking session!  Last and most exciting session was B-boy crew battle. Global Seoul Mate's I Like Seoul mission!

I like many things about Seoul such as its parks, mountains, palaces, restaurants, transportation system Etc. Among all of previously mentioned places, I like Han River Parks (한강공원) the most!! Picnic at one of many parks is best way to spend your weekend during spring, summers or autumn. Many seoulites fascinate Hagang Parks for physical activities such as cycling and running. You will often find people practicing for marathons or cycling events or just doing it as hobby! Since I moved to Korea, I was searching for nice tracks and parks. Han river parks were simply best! They provide breathtaking views ,therefore I choose it be my favorite thing about Seoul!! I LIKE Han River Parks in Seoul because I can run or ride bicycle there! Moreover, I can enjoy picnic with friends over there :) Han River Parks = Nature + Picnic + Walk ,+ Peace + Serenity + Running + Cycling + AdayOut! I borrowed some information from visitKorea website about best cycling tracks.  " The
