Thank You and Welcome event with KTO!

Korea Tourism organization has started a special program for foreigners which is class K-performance supporters. So to pay thanks to 2012 batch and welcome new one , they organized a special KPOP concert at Gangnam KPOP hall on April 5.

There were people from over 37 countries who attended events.

The best K-supporter for 2012 was awarded to Mr. Fakhar from Pakistan. He was activity promoting korean culture and activists to foreigners through his blog.

I was also part of 2013 K performance supporters batch. I like Kpop and randomly drop by at korean cultural events.

There were few amazing new stars who performed on that day. I like concept of Aaria band because they tried to combine traditional and modern Korean music.

"Neighbors from a far /교실에서 만나는 먼나라 이웃나라"

Introduction:   I participated in a volunteer activity called “Neighbors from Afar/ 교실에서 만나는 먼나라 이웃나라" orchestrated by Seoul Metropolitan Government. The main objective of this activity program was to enhance mutual understanding and respect between Koreans and foreigners living in Seoul.  In this regard, I visited Unhyun Elementary School, to deliver lecture about my home country Pakistan (파키스탄). The audience of lecture were Grade-5 elementary students. Details:    The lecture start time was 9am in the morning; therefore I had to leave early from Kyung Hee University ( 경희대학교 ) Suwon Yeongtong. The journey was pretty smooth because of good transportation system. It took one hour to reach Anguk Station. We were greeted by school staff as well as couple of pleasant shouts from kids! TED Worldwide Talent Search @Seoul, May 23, 2012

From Doha to Nairobi, Shanghai to Bangalore, New York to Amsterdam, TED is holding worldwide talent search auditions in 14 cities around the world. In this respect, the amazing Seoul city was honored to be one of the host of TED team!! The passionate TEDx Ambassadors in Korea (Victor Choi from TEDxMyeongdong, David Choo from TEDxItaewon,and Han Ryu fromTEDxSeoul) were anticipating a great response from enthusiastic TED lovers in Korea. To their surprise, 400 seats were taken away soon after registration was opened. What can you expect from the people of city who never sleeps ??   There were 19 speakers , mostly Koreans, who were invited to give auditions. Few of them had already given talks at local TEDx events in Korea. Venue chosen for TED@Seoul event was impressive.
